Women have been caring for women's bodies for thousands of years.
Through cycles and births and losses and transformations.
With plants.
With knowledge passed hand to hand, generation to generation.
That knowledge was not lost.
It was taken.
Deliberately removed from our hands and replaced with systems that were never built with us in mind.
Systems whose very foundations were laid on the bodies of women who never consented.
What we call "alternative" medicine was once just medicine.
Our medicine.
Peristeam hydrotherapy is one thread of that returning.
One gentle, somatic, powerful way back into relationship with our own bodies.
Restoring the autonomy that was always ours.

What if the pain wasn't inevitable?
What if the irregular cycles, the cramping, the heaviness, the unpredictability you have been managing your whole life, what if none of that was simply the cost of living in a woman's body?
What if it was information nobody ever taught you to read?
Your body has been speaking a language your whole life.
Every symptom. Every cycle.
Every shift you couldn't explain.
The problem was never the message.
It was that nobody gave you the language to receive it.
That changes here.
You don't need a diagnosis to be here.
You only need a body that has been trying to tell you something.
This path is for you if:
You have been dismissed by doctors, medicated into silence, or told that what you're experiencing is just part of being a woman.
Your cycle is irregular, long, short, painful, unpredictable, absent, or has just never felt quite right.
You are navigating fibroids, cysts, infections, viruses, fertility concerns, or postpartum recovery — no matter how far along the pregnancy went.
You have heard of steaming but weren't sure where to start or whether you were doing it safely.
You want to know your inner seasons, your hormonal rhythms, and the language your body has always been speaking.
You are done being a stranger in your own body.
No matter how far along a pregnancy gets — a full term birth, a loss, a termination — the mother is postpartum.
Her body has been through something profound.
And it deserves care that honors that.
Whether you gave birth last month or years ago and your body has never quite felt the same since, you are welcome here.
Your body is never too late.
It has been waiting for exactly this.
My best friend introduced me to steaming in 2016.
A hot pot. Farmers market herbs. Picture anything but someone who knew what they were doing.
And yet my body responded — enough to pull on a thread I didn't know my body was holding.
That thread wound through plant medicine, through history, through time in indigenous communities in the jungle where I learned that plants are not passive — that they are in relationship with us, energetically and physically, in ways that every culture on earth once understood.
It wound through Keli Garza's Peristeam Hydrotherapist certification training at the Steamy Chick Institute, where the clinical language came.
Where I learned why each herb matters through the lens of Chinese Medicine, why protocol matters, and the history of how this knowledge was held by women for centuries — and deliberately taken from us.
It wound through becoming a mother, through prenatal yoga and gentle breastfeeding education, through years immersed in traditional birthwork and one question that kept returning:
How is it possible that we spend our entire lives in bodies we were never taught to understand?
I built this container because I want every woman who works with me to leave knowing her body well enough to take care of it for the rest of her life.
Not dependent on me.
Not dependent on systems that have failed her.
Knowing herself.
Your body is not a problem to be managed.
It is a language to be learned.

Everything here was built for your body specifically.
Not a template.
Not a protocol borrowed from someone else.
Yours.
Custom steam plan
Frequency, duration and timing. Every variable calibrated to your cycle, your history, and your body's specific needs. Nothing generic. Nothing borrowed from someone else's protocol.
Personalized herbal formula
Every herb chosen with intention for your specific cycle, your specific concerns, your specific body. Because your body has never been one-size-fits-all and your care shouldn't be either.
The physical herbs are not included in this package. You will receive guidance on where to source them along with discount codes where applicable.
Cycle care resource packet
Your inner seasons, your hormonal rhythms, how to read your cycle as the language it is, and how to support yourself through every phase. Tools that belong to you long after these three months are over.
Initial 1:1 call
We walk through your plan together. You ask everything. You leave clear, grounded, and ready to begin.
Monthly check-ins
Your body will respond and shift. I will be here as it does.
This is not a 3-month fix.
It is the beginning of a relationship with your body that will last the rest of your life.
The knowledge you build here does not expire when our container ends.
Your custom steam plan. Your herbal formula. Your understanding of your inner seasons, your hormonal rhythms, your cycle as the language it is.
These belong to you.
You carry them forward — into every season of your life, every transition, every threshold.
The mark of holiness is wholeness.
We were never meant to be fragmented from our own bodies.
This is one path back. And once you find your way home to yourself — it is yours for life.
The body knows.

— Lara

When done correctly — with the right herbs, the right protocol, for the right body — yes. Safety is the foundation of everything I build. There are contraindications, which is exactly why a custom plan matters more than a generic one. I am not giving you someone else's protocol. I am building yours.
A steam session involves sitting over a vessel of herb-infused warm water — typically a specially designed steam stool or seat, or a carefully arranged setup with a pot or bowl. Sessions typically last between 10 and 30 minutes depending on your protocol.
Frequency varies — some protocols call for steaming once a week, others more or less depending on your cycle and your specific concerns. Your plan will be built around your life and what is actually sustainable for you. During your intake I ask specifically about your realistic capacity — because a plan you can't maintain is not a plan that will help you.
The experience is warm, aromatic, and deeply relaxing. Most women describe it as one of the few moments in their week that belongs entirely to them.
Peristeam may offer support for irregular cycles, painful periods, short or long cycles, infections, fibroids, cysts, fertility support, postpartum recovery after birth, loss, or termination, hormonal balance, perimenopause, menopause, and general womb, vaginal, and uterine wellness.
If you are breastfeeding — yes, steaming is generally appropriate. The protocol simply needs to account for the fact that breastfeeding can suppress ovulation and affects the hormonal environment. Your intake assessment will determine the right approach.
Every plan is built around what your body is specifically navigating. You don't need a diagnosis to be here — you only need a body with something to say.
Peristeam hydrotherapy is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical care. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.
Your intake form comes to you right away. Once I review it, I build your custom plan and herbal formula and deliver your full resource packet within 72 hours. Then we schedule your first call and begin.
I am Julie Brierre. A certified Peristeam Hydrotherapist trained through the Steamy Chick Institute and a health coach certified through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have trained in prenatal yoga and gentle breastfeeding education and spent years immersed in the world of traditional birthwork, including time in indigenous communities where I developed a deep understanding of plant medicine and the ancestral knowledge of women's bodies.
I came to this work through lived experience long before I had formal language for it. I do this because I believe women deserve to know their bodies. Because that knowledge was taken from us. And because reviving it — gently, together — is some of the most important work I know how to do.
On the question of cultural appropriation — this is worth addressing honestly. Peristeam hydrotherapy as taught through certified training acknowledges and honors the cultural origins of this practice. Records of womb steaming have been found on every continent — this is an ancestral practice that belongs to all of us. The goal of this work is not to extract a practice from its roots for profit. It is to return body knowledge to the women it belongs to, with full acknowledgment of where it comes from and who has carried it.
The distinction between respectful revival and extractive appropriation matters, and it is something I hold consciously in everything I do.
The difference is the difference between taking a stranger's prescription and having one written specifically for you.
A generic steam kit does not know your cycle length, your health history, your contraindications, or what your body is specifically navigating right now.
There are herbs that open and herbs that close. Protocols for long cycles that are harmful for short ones. Contraindications that a pre-made blend knows nothing about.
As a certified Peristeam Hydrotherapist, I conduct a thorough intake assessment before anything is built. Your formula is chosen for your body specifically. Your protocol is calibrated to your cycle specifically.
Nothing here is generic. Nothing here was made for anyone but you.
Then I will tell you honestly — before you begin.
Your intake form screens for contraindications and conditions that require protocol adjustment or pause. If steaming is not appropriate for your body right now, I will let you know.
Your safety is the foundation of everything I build. That means I will never build something that isn't right for you — even if that means pausing before we start, or refunding your purchase.
This is one of the most important differences between working with a certified practitioner and steaming alone.
The knowledge doesn't end when our container does.
Everything you build in these three months — your understanding of your cycle, your steam practice, your herbal knowledge — belongs to you for life.
Wholly Wombn is also growing.
A community is coming — a space for women to continue learning together, with access to guest practitioners, ongoing education, and each other.
Current container clients will be the first to be welcomed in.
More on that soon.
